Heat Insulated Casing Pipes

The main application of heat insulated casing pipes is:

to prevent continuous permafrost from defrosting near wellbore zones and to prevent bridgeover during well operations.


Design features of heat insulated casing pipes with polyurethane foam insulation:

  • simple design,
  • possibility to manufacture heat insulated casing pipes with whichever value of polyurethane foam insulation apparent density.

Design features of heat insulated casing pipes with vacuum shield insulation:

  • possibility to control and restore vacuum in field conditions,
  • possibility to manufacture heat insulated casing pipes with minimum annular space (15-20 mm), which is not possible for heat insulated casing pipes with polyurethane foam insulation,
  • with identical thermo-physical properties, heat insulated casing pipes with vacuum shield insulation have got smaller diameter, which provides decrease in materials consumption and reduction in expenses for drilling.

  1. Heat insulated casing pipes are manufactured with length of 9,5 to 12,5 m. By agreement with the customer, it is possible to manufacture heat insulated casing pipes with another length.
  2. By agreement with the customer, it is possible to manufacture heat insulated casing pipes of other grades.
  3. By agreement with the customer, it is possible to manufacture heat insulated casing pipes with another indicator of general apparent density.
  4. Heat insulated casing pipes are manufactured from pipe grades according to GOST 632, GOST R 53366, GOST 20295, technical specifications, conformed with the customer.
  5. Heat insulated casing pipes are manufactured with thread connections of triangular or trapezoidal profile, including with gas-proof and flange joints.
  6. Heat insulated casing pipes are manufactured in cold resistant and standard version.
  7. This standard size of heat insulated casing pipes is recommended for use with vacuum shield insulation.
